Join us this June 21, 2014 to celebrate the Ephraim Fyr Bal Festival’s 50th Year. This day recreates the traditions of early Norwegian settlers celebrating Midsummer’s Eve. At this event we’ll have live music, an art and craft show, family activities, and trolley rides.
Evening bonfires represent the exit of winter and escort in the long days of summer. Enjoy the spectacular sunset, the warmth of the bon fires, the activities, and the fun then come back to the Guest House and relax in your home-away-from-home.
We’d like to welcome all of the Door County Half Marathoner’s and their families to Door County. This event has become such an enjoyable run for runners of all abilities. The course is run in one of the prettiest State Parks in Door County, Peninsula State Park, and the challenge is not one to be scoffed at. The course takes runners along the shores of Green Bay, on the bluffs atop the Niagara Escarpment, and through the secluded woods of Peninsula State Park. The course also winds past historical markers and scenic overlooks including the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, Sven’s Bluff, and breathtaking panoramic views of Nicolet Bay, Green Bay and the islands dotting Lake Michigan. With so much beauty to offer, you can see why this is a favorite for visitors.

May is a an amazing time to visit Door County. The businesses are coming back to life and the nature is starting to bloom with all of our April showers. With school still in session, May is a time of quiet and rejuvenation. It’s easy to find parking spots, the sun is warming up the water, and the sunsets are just as beautiful as during the busy season.
One of our favorite spots to explore is the Ephraim Wetland Preserves. A rustic entrance leads to two looped trails through seven acres of a regenerating wetland ecosystem. The trillium will be popping up along with many other wildflowers and the quietness of nature will allow you to unwind. Because we are not into the heavy traffic season in May, this makes for biking throughout Door County much easier and a bit safer.
We welcome you to take advantage of this time of year and invite you to stay with us at the Ephraim Guest House Condominiums where we are able to provide 1, 2, or 3 bedroom condominiums with WiFi for all of your needs.
